Terms & Conditions

​At Big Day Studios we don’t want to set out too many terms and conditions for our service but there are some terms of our service that are unavoidable that you should know.
 
Booking
When booking with Big Day Studios it is the client’s responsibility to ensure all information that was asked for at the time of the booking has been sent to the company correctly by checking the booking contract. We will always attempt to get all relevant information prior to the wedding date. However, it is the responsibility of the client to ensure we have all relevant information. This includes:
 
- Personal information (Name, Address, Email & Phone)
- Wedding Information (Date, Locations, Time, No. of Guests, Entertainment, Photographer and Registrar)
- Wedding Party Names (Parents, Bridesmaids and Groomsmen, Ushers, Flower girls and page boys as standard. As well as any other that may be involved)
- Song Choice (6 Songs to choose that will be the soundtrack of your package. We recommend using your first dance as an option and include at least 1 upbeat song)
 
We cannot hold a date without a deposit. Enquires about a wedding date are only valid at the time of enquiry. We cannot guarantee the date will still be available if booking is not made at the time of the enquiry.
 
Contracts and deposit must be signed to secure your booking. You will get daily reminders until contract is signed. Payment of deposit must be paid. Failure to do so within 3 days of contracts being signed (Unless already pre-arranged) will result in a void contract and the booking cancelled.


Cancellation
Deposit is non-refundable in the event of a client cancellation.
Half the remaining balance of the contract is due if the client cancels within 60 days of the event.
The full balance should be cleared no later than 28 days prior to the event.

Big Day Studios reserves the right to change the pre-designated crew at any time for any reasonable cause, e.g. accident or ill health. In the unlikely event no alternative coverage can be resolved by Big Day Studios you will be notified immediately and all monies paid will be refunded in full.

Turn around Time
Big Day Studios works hard to bring your package to you as quickly as possible. Our entire editing process (from wedding to postage) is generally complete within 4-8 weeks in off-season. However, we recommend a maximum waiting time of 16 weeks to ensure we have ample time to process your content ensuring our high standards in quality are met.

Faults
Upon receipt of the finished product the client must inform Big Day Studios of any faults that may have occurred within 7 days. Faults are: - typos, unreadable content, faulty discs etc. All faults are free to repair, any changes required due to client preference and not by fault of Big Day Studios are charged at an hourly rate. 
 
The Wedding
We aim to arrive at least 1 hour before your ceremony begins. We expect all vendors to work as a team to ensure your day goes smoothly. This includes photographers, entertainment and event staff.
 
Churches & places of Worship
Weddings in places of worship have the most restrictions in regards to our movements and what we are allowed to package. We will always speak to the officiate before the ceremony and work around their restrictions to the best of our ability. Please note however, any restrictions imposed on us that may effect the package are completely out with our control.
 
 
End of the Day / Staying longer
Our working day finishes at 9pm, this includes time to pack up. In the event that the dances have not happened by 8:30pm we will approach the couple and ask if they want us to stay. It is £50 per additional hour per camera operator. Most shoots have 2 camera operators.


 
Abusive or Threatening behaviour
Under no circumstances will we tolerate any verbal or physical threats or abusive behaviour of any kind from guests, hotel staff or external vendors. If such an event should occur we will remove ourselves from the wedding immediately. If this happens the package will be complete up to the point of our departure and full balance will be due with no refund.


 
Damages
Clients agree to pay for all damages to Big Day Studios equipment (including theft) caused by the negligence of the client or any of the event staff or guests.
We take a lot of care to capture your day without missing a moment however we cannot be held liable for technical, human or other type of error that may cause a loss of footage for example weather, acoustics, limited space etc.
